Dr Clare Minihan talks quantum in sport on ABC Radio National

FeBI Collaborator, Associate Professor Clare Minahan (Griffith University) joined the ABC Big Ideas program on Radio National to discuss the potential of FeBI Technologies quantum iron sensor to optimise the performance of our athletes in the lead up to Brisbane 2032.

FeBI Technologies are an industry partner on a recently awarded Quantum 2032 Challenge (Q2032) project led by Dr Minihan and her team: Strike while the iron is hot: Revolutionising iron deficiency detection to elevate athlete health performance and health ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The STRIKE project aims to accelerate the translation of quantum technology into scalable commercial products and services by advancing quantum sensors for the ultrasensitive measurement of iron. Better measurement of iron status is particularly important for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and girls, who are disproportionately affected by iron deficiency.
